Schouten Logistics is an all-round logistic service provider with two branches, specialized in food, drinks and non-food market. Logistics is more than transporting goods. It is the coordination of products that should be at the right location, in the correct combination and at the correct time. Besides the standard services Schouten Logistics also offers cross-docking, quality checks, online tracking of the stocks and an in-house repacking department.

The Moerdijk branch has a perfect geographical location near the ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp. The warehouse is located at a stone's throw from the barge terminal (CCT) in Moerdijk, with excellent connections to the trans-European waterway network and a direct connection to the railway network.

Thanks to the central location in the Randstad the distribution centre in Alphen aan den Rijn offers a great base for effectively stocking up the major cities and other residential areas in the Randstad.

Schouten Logistics has a total storage capacity of 62,000 m2 and has 50 private large and small trucks that are suitable for many kinds of combinations of transport, which covers the Netherlands and Belgium on a daily basis. This is arranged via a fixed route schedule and set delivery dates. Its specialization ranges from deliveries to several distribution centres of renowned retail organizations to intricate shop distribution. The objective of Schouten Logistics is to finetune supply and demand within the food and non-food sector in such a manner that the required goods are available and delivered at the right moment.

Besides services such as warehousing, transport and distribution, this demands an optimal set-up of the Warehouse Management System. For the Moerdijk branch we use the Warehouse System designed by Vanboxtel in Boekel.
