Ten tanks transported by road and water

For one of our valued clients, ten tanks were transported to Gilze-Rijen. The entire project, from route research to final placement, was coordinated by PAX Group. Part of the route was completed using a combined road–water–roadtransport method.

Although a full overland route through the Dutch road network was technically possible, it proved extremely tight. After thorough route analysis, it was decided that the largest tanks, with a transport width of 4.6 metres and a height of 4.7 metres, would be transported partly by water. From Lopik, the tanks first travelled by road to Groot-Ammers, then continued by ship to Tilburg, and finally completed the last stretch by road to Gilze-Rijen. In addition to the tanks, five caged ladder sections and seven platforms were also delivered.

Beyond route planning and road and water transport, PAX Group also managed transshipment, unloading, placement, lifting plans, and TRA documentation.
