This past weekend, we delivered nine storage tanks to Sonac in Burgum. Water transport, crane work, road closures, road transport, and a solid dose of teamwork, it all came together in this job. In other words, a typical “PAX project” full of exciting challenges.
Eight of the tanks were shipped from Groot Ammers to Sumar in Friesland by vessel. Due to its size, the ninth tank had to make the journey north by road. On Friday, the tanks were unloaded, and at the crack of dawn on Saturday, the first tandem combination with two tanks set off for Burgum. From then on, a new transport departed every hour, with the tanks being placed at their final positions using a truck-mounted crane and a telescopic crane.
A successful project made possible by thorough preparation, tight coordination, and of course—a healthy dose of dedication and driving skills.
